Transform data in your workflow, plus smarter catalog lookups

A new data transformation activity lets you clean up and reshape data before export, and catalog lookup rules gain filters, per-row matching, and assistant support.

Transform your data before export

A new data transformation activity in the workflow lets you clean up and reshape your data at the end of processing. Use it to normalize and transform extracted values before export, re-order pages, re-assemble documents, or assign document classes. It is a flexible step for getting results into exactly the shape your downstream systems expect.

You do not have to write the logic yourself. The assistant can create the transformation for you: describe what you want in plain English and it builds the activity. See the data transformation guide for details.

Smarter catalog lookups

Catalog lookup rules, which check extracted values against your reference data, are now more precise and easier to set up:

  • Filter the lookup. Add a filter field to narrow a lookup to the right subset of records, for example to look up suppliers for a specific invoice receiver. The filter applies to manual lookups too.
  • Match per table row. Lookup rules can now run per table row, so you can match invoice line items against purchase order items.
  • Let the assistant help. The assistant can create and edit catalogs, fill them with data, and set up catalog lookup rules for you.
  • Use catalogs in custom rules. Custom script rules can now read catalogs, so you can write your own checks against reference data.

See the catalog lookup guide to get started.
